T&T LUX Arthur’s Pass Tour version 2 includes the drive/drive option alongside the TranzAlpine Train Journey followed by the striking afternoon drive back into Christchurch.
The Drive/Drive option (no train journey) with T&T LUX luxury Kia EV9 travel from Christchurch up to Arthur’s Pass for the National Park experience followed by the mid afternoon drive back into the City - this option allows for times when the TranzAlpine is fully booked and guests wish to spend a magnificent day regardless up at Arthur’s Pass National Park in the heart of the Southern Alps of New Zealand.

The train initially travels across rural Canterbury farmlands offering expansive views of the distant Southern Alps. As the journey advances the landscape transforms into rugged gorges and river valleys with the Waimakariri River accompanying the TranzAlpine’s climb up into the Alps.

How Your Day Unfolds

Hotel Pickup
I collect you from your hotel or place of residence and deliver you to Christchurch Railway Station where I source your train tickets and escort you to your carriage seats.
8:15 AM
TranzAlpine Departure
The TranzAlpine departs for the unforgettable 2hour+ train journey while I drive up to meet you at Arthur’s Pass station platform.
10:30 AM
Arthur’s Pass Arrival
The TranzAlpine arrives into Arthur’s Pass township with me stationed on the station platform awaiting your arrival. We begin exploring Arthur’s Pass National Park.
11:00 AM
National Park Exploration
We discover Arthur’s Pass National Park with short forest walks and unrivalled driven Pass & Gorge passages through the heart of the Southern Alps.
12:30 PM
Alpine Lunch
We lunch and enjoy refreshments at the quaint Alpine Parrot Cafe, then visit the very interesting visitor centre engaging with DOC (Department of Conservation) staff.
2:00 PM
Scenic Locations
We depart Arthur’s Pass to enjoy numerous locations of interest and stop at a scenic off road location for a picnic style afternoon tea.
3:30 PM
Return Journey
We head back into Christchurch with interval comfort stops available along the drive home.
4:45 PM
Return to Hotel
Deliver you back to your hotel or place of residence after an unforgettable day in the Southern Alps.
